As for Valentine’s Day, many young Chinese know nothing about the story behind the festival. What matters to them is the human and emotional side of the festival and according to their understanding it is simply a big day for lovers. But in the western culture, Valentine’s Day has a much broader meaning; it is for showing people’s love for all the ones they care about, such as family members and friends.
